SSSAA Championship Wednesday - November 13 @ Elgin Park

Reporting Scores
Winning schools are required to report scores within 24 hours.  Click here to report your scores.  Set scores are required.  If not correctly reported, tie-breaking procedures (per Volleyball Canada) using set-scores will be bypassed.

League Policies
All SSSAA league games are best 2-of-3 sets, win by two.  In the first two sets, score is capped at 27.  No cap in the 3rd set.  For SSSAA playoff games, there are no caps.

Grade 8 Fair Play policy is in effect.  For full details, click here.  No liberos are permitted, unless there are more than 12 players dressed for a match.

As passed by BC School Sports, the two libero rule is permitted at the grade 9 and junior level.  For clarification of the rule, per the South Fraser Volleyball Commission, click here.

As passed by BC School Sports, and to be consistent with girls volleyball, the roof rules are in effect for boys volleyball.

  • Boy can now play the ball off the roof as long it in above the field of play and does not cross the net 

New screening rules per Volleyball Canada

  • 12.5 Screening

    • 12.5.1 - the players of the serving team must not prevent their opponent, through individual or collective screening, from seeing the service hit and the flight path of the ball.

    • 12.5.2 - Any player of the serving team is forbidden to raise hands above the head during service, until the ball has passed beyond the net - to be clear, hands on heads to protect is fine, above is not.  Back row is not permitted to have hands raised at all.  

    • The first referee is permitted to caution (advise) a team through the game captain, if he/she suspects that is is deliberately screening.  After the warning a fault will be administered on the next instance awarding the point from that rally to other team along with next serve.
